An experienced and dynamic Support Engineer sought to join a young and highly successful information management organisation. You will provide end-to-end support for the resolution of technical issues for our clients across a range of solutions, often incorporating best of breed content management systems or enterprise search platforms at their heart. Key duties will include: first level escalation of product support issues. Manage critical and high issues to resolution. Escalate diagnosed software defects to the development team. Create and manage technical environments within the support group to replicate and diagnose customer issues. Work directly with clients to investigate and coordinate the resolution of their issues. Establish processes and procedures for the support group as a whole. 5-7 years exp in system and database administration and/or support and/or software development with increasing levels of responsibility. Understanding of Internet apps tech including; Internet applications based upon .NET technology, HTML, XML, Internet protocols, networking, Firewalls, Web Server configurations and Internet security are needed. Working knowledge of IIS and/or Apache Web Server Oracle or MS SQL Server DB knowledge, Bachelor's Degree or HND in Computer Science, Management Info Sys or other related field. Strong knowledge of system and database admin principles. Problem-solving skills in complex Web environments. Ability to replicate, diagnose and resolve problems.
